    Absolutely fine decor, but what a pity the whole resort was very dark with limited lighting, we had to use a torch! Not to mention the noisy kids' blow-up slide right outside my room! A complimentary welcome gift would've been nice as well. I almost wrote a good review but just couldn't.

    A tranquil escape by the sea

    Mai Khao Lak is a slice of paradise. With spacious pools at every block, we enjoyed peace and privacy. The staff's attentiveness enhanced our experience.

    The gym facilities left much to be desired, with dirty equipment and disorganized use. This detracted from the overall experience, especially since it was peak season.

    The villa with pool was super spacious and clean. The food at sky restaurant and thalay thai was really tasty. I also loved the spa experience. It was a good treat! Plus, being right on the beach was a bonus.

    The pools suited all ages and provided plenty of space for relaxation. The breakfast spread offered a wide variety of options. I traveled with a family group, and the dining options available kept all our preferences in mind. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor ambiance while lounging at the Sky restaurant.

    The gym could use improvement, with some equipment not meeting expectations. Getting to the beach from certain rooms requires a bit of a walk.

    We had an amazing time enjoying the spacious pools and delicious breakfast with a great kids' menu. The massages at the wellness center were so relaxing, and we also loved lounging by the outdoor pool.     The pools here are a real highlight with plenty of space for lounging, and the breakfast selection is extensive-with a focus on kid-friendly options. If you're into outdoor activities, the hotel offers a scenic backdrop that makes wandering enjoyable.

    I found the water slides operated only for a brief window, and only one of them was actually functional. The gym could use some serious TLC-dirty equipment and a chaotic setup made it less than appealing. Plus, it was like a trek from some rooms to the beach, and while they do offer golf cart service, the wait can be inconvenient. A heads up would have been nice about the kids' club being closed during low season-definitely an oversight on their part.

    Perfect for Families with a Great Beach

    The delicious breakfast spread, especially the kid-friendly options, made mornings enjoyable for everyone, and the resort staff were very good too entertain us throughout the day. The easy walk to the beach and nearby local restaurants provided plenty of dining choices that enhanced our experience. One area for improvement would be the limited opening hours of some amenities during off-peak times.

    The hotel is situated very close to a stunning beach and various restaurants, including those along the beach and local markets. the staff were outstanding and made our stay truly amazing. There is also a poolside bar to enjoy.
